The Lois Linden Nelson WOMAN'S WORLD is the premier fundraising event for Sisterhood of Congregation Shaarey Zedek.  Founded in 1964, it is a well loved tradition in the Detroit Jewish community, attracting over 700 women who are leaders in the business and philanthropic community who enjoy the experience of this day’s event. 

In 2007, the event became known as the Lois Linden Nelson WOMAN'S WORLD after Sisterhood received a generous gift to insure the ongoing viability of Woman’s World -- from the children of Lois Linden Nelson an enthusiastic patron and supporter of Sisterhood and its’ annual event.

Lois Linden Nelson WOMAN'S WORLD Supporters Contribute to: Emergency Funds for tuition assistance for our Religious School and our nursery school Beth Hayeled, partnering with the synagogue for Shabbat, yom tov and special projects needed for our shul, Torah Fund, Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, Jewish Theological Seminary, Israel and other vital projects. 3% of all event proceeds benefit Mazon, a Jewish Response to Hunger.
